Q. What Topics will you Cover in the BEYOND BAT MITZVAH Online Class?

After a wonderful year of online classes (B”H), we are back to unlock greater treasures! Last year, we explored the women from Sarah to the righteous Women in the Desert and we will move on to delve into the lives of Women in the Neviim (Prophets) beginning with Chana, the mother of Samuel, {whose prayers were answered on Rosh Hashanah} and Holiday inspiration.

Each week, we will unlock a treasure entrusted to Jewish women and girls and explore contemporary issues relevant to their daily lives. Through a combination of games, text study, lively discussion, class chats, polls, multi media and songs, we will apply the lessons to our role as women in modern times.

Q. What are Girls saying about the Classes from our Feedback Form?

“I love learning about different generations of women.”
“I love learning cool stories and how to incorporate Jewish values into every day life.” “I like chatting with friends and learning interesting things.”
“The classes are comforting and inspiring!”
“The classes give me tools to stay calm and happy.”

“Every week, I look forward to taking part in the Bat Mitzvah and Beyond class. It offers a unique opportunity for self reflection and a chance to connect with Jewish women and girls worldwide. As I do not live in a Jewish area, I often feel misunderstood. So, I feel so fortunate to have found JGU!”

Q. Can I Share this Information with Friends and Girls I know?

YES! They will thank YOU!!

Our underlying philosophy is that “a rising tide lifts all ships”. This philosophy is built into the DNA of JGU. In fact, JGU grew out of the partnership of Jewish Girls Retreat and YALDAH magazine. We know that our girls benefit from multiple influences in various ways. They multi-task and have energy and excitement about many different things. Our impact is an online community, educating, inspiring and motivating girls to take action now about things they care about–which may be your organization! Strategically and specifically we have seen every person and organization that has joined with us grow themselves!
