Girls (grades 3-9) from around the world are amping up to celebrate in JGU Creative Online Winter Camp and discover: “Every Day’s a Holiday!”  The program will offer a jam-packed week of fine art and DIY crafts, creative movement and writing, games, challenges, culinary arts, and a host of thematic activities diffusing the spirit of Jewish holidays into the entire year!

Following a highly successful, 8-week virtual camp this past summer, Team JGU looks forward to giving girls a dynamic, enriching and memorable winter experience.

“We are integrating our Jewish Girls Retreat overnight-camp experience with our innovative JGU online programs to offer girls the ultimate virtual experience.”Nechama Laber, Director

Participants will cultivate a variety of talents, gain new tools for personal development and Jewish leadership, and create new friendships. It is the JGU Virtual Community’s mission to empower future mothers and leaders to light up their home, the world – and this winter!

Allow Us to Reassure You if These are Your Concerns About a Virtual Retreat!

“It definitely won’t be as fun.”

Virtual meetups can become quite interactive and lively. Also, we will offer a wide array of activities for all interests. Give it a try; you may be delightfully surprised! Your daughter can get a taste now of our weekly clubs and classes online.

“My daughter can’t sit in front of a computer for so long; she will be bored.”

Fear not, the program will be so engaging that your daughter will not be able to simply sit! She will be learning art-techniques, whipping up tasty creations, performing a skit, singing along, connecting with peers, building confidence as a communicator, discovering new talents and her inner leader. We will also ensure breaks from the screen, as well as physical activities, such as yoga, dance and creative movement!

“My daughter won’t have a social life with the online camp.”

The innovations of modern technology amid COVID-19 have shown us almost nothing is impossible. Online camp is different than in-person camp, but it also enables amazing new opportunities. Your daughter will have the chance to meet Jewish girls and incredible women from around the world! Our JGU online students who were previously our campers, know that no “social distancing” can negate the love and warmth of JGU. We are nurturing connections that transcend physical limits, through soulful activities that touch even deeper.
