Before even finishing a semester at Stern College (the women’s division of Yeshiva University), YU invited me to represent Stern as a “Point of Light” at their 86th annual Hanukkah Dinner. The annual dinner was held in the Waldorf=Estoria hotel and was attended by over 700 supporters of Yeshiva University.
I’m so happy my father was able to make it from Boston, as well as Rabbi & Mrs. Nechama Laber (and baby Yehudah) from Troy, NY. It was great to celebrate together with friends and family.
The ‘Point of Light’ awards honors eight YU undergrad and graduate students as well as staff members who “exemplify YU’s mission”. We each lit a candle on the menorah and answered a few questions from YU President Richard Joel about ourselves, life at YU, and future aspirations.
You can read the YU blog post about the dinner here.
