Pesach is a joyous time

We lean sideways while drinking wine

Eating the delicious seder meal,

We can think back to our Jewish appeal,

Dipping parsley in salty water,

Tears fill our eyes, filling us with sorrow,

Our difficult history of working for Pharaoh,

has helped us realize, today, we are much stronger,

We eat charoset to remember the bricks we once built in vain

that makes it harder for us to complain

Eating crunch matza instead of fluffly challah bread

teaches us to be humbler than boasty instead.

Pesach is a powerful and fun night, staying up late,

but our past we must always appreciate
