3 cups sugar
12 egg whites
Pinch of salt
In an electric mixer beat egg whites on medium speed until foamy. Then, slowly add 1 cup of sugar at a time. Add the salt. Mix on high, until stiff peaks form.
Pipe onto a cookie sheet.
Bake at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for 1-2 hrs. or turn hot oven off and leave overnight.
