Write “fiction contest” in the subject of the e-mail. Entries will be judged on: 50% writing quality, 20% compelling plot, 20% creativity, and 10 % relatability to Jewish girls. Age will be taken into consideration during the judging process. Five finalists will be selected from each age group (8-12 and 13-17) and from the finalists one grand prize winner will be chosen in each age group.

Prizes: Each grand prize winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Artscroll Jewish books and have their winning story published in the Winter 2011-12 issue of YALDAH. Finalists will be listed inside the magazine and may have their stories published in future issues of YALDAH.
