As I was working on the cover of the Fall issue (which will be our third birthday issue) I made up a new logo…and now I’m not sure which one I like better. So…what do you think? Let me know which logo you like better, if you think I should change the logo, any other ideas/suggestions by posting a comment to this post!

I think I like the old one better. I think the old one has a more fun look, while the newer one looks….like a different taste completely. THey are both good though and I think the logo won’t really make such a difference. But like i said before, I think the old one is the one to use.From:Kayla Rothberg
I think you should keep the old logo. It’s good, and everyone (well, all the readers of YALDAH at least) recognize it as the logo. I don’t see a reason to change the logo at all, and also I think that the old logo has a better look for a magazine.

That is hard….I like the old one… it looks more centered and readable, somehow the new one looks….Chinese? I don’t know, all your work is terrific but I like the old one. Good Luck!-Dagny

I like the new one! It looks more girly, while the other one looks old-ish.
Of course,the old one! I agree that the newer looks sort of chinese. I definatley think the old one shows more of what Yaldah is- fun and refined!

at first i was going to vote for the new one but when i read the other comments i agree that the old one is more proffesionaly better though the new one is more fun.

i really like the new one, but i think you should stay with the old one because it is Yaldah. But then again the new one is so much cooler! So I dunno but it seems likee majority sticks with the old one.

I think that your sales will go up if you change the logo the old one is to dated.
Why would sales go up if there was a new logo? People aren’t going to find out about Yaldah or buy the magazine just because of a different logo.
People might be more likely to buy the magazine or at least pick it up because the logo is nicer!!!!!
i don’t thimk so. That’s like saying that you judge a book by the cover. My freind n I run a newspaper at our school, and we spent a long time on the title font. After I felt really stuipid causeno one cares about just thetitle. Maybe changing the whole front cover wouldn’t be good, but the “old” logos noice anyways. Also, if you change the logo now, you might want to keep on changing it. There is always a new style out. But really, the logo doesn’t matter that much.
The logo matters to some extent, but the 2 versions of the logo are relatively similar, so it probably won’t make such a difference in sales if you changed the logo. Also, changing the logo could confuse a lot of readers, and then maybe sales would go down if people don’t realize it’s the same magazine!
Listen… I love more the old logo, I think it fits more with Yaldah and it’s message. It’s clean, nice, professionnal, and certainly looks more attractive. The new one I won’t recommend because it looks, well, messy, and doesn’t really fit with YALDAH. I hope you keep the old one: it certainly looks better! ~ Nehama P.
ok… let me try again the new logo is alot nicer it shows the real yaldah for GIRLS NOT ADULTS true it looks more formal but the magazine is not formal if you keep the old one then you might as well keep the whole magazine that way formal and black and white the new one adds “color” so to speak and let me tell you I feel that as the other smart girl said it will defantly make more people attracted to yaldah—the only cute and fun jewish girls magazine.
It’s all really a matter of opinion. I think that both logos look like they are for GIRLS (not adults), but the old one looks nicer, better for a magazine, and more unique.

Listen the new mag is a online mag so it should have a cooler look like watch out evreyone yaldahs making something good
Thanks for the feedback! Mushky, we ended up using the old one. The current logo is the same one YALDAH has always had.
Mussia, hmm…that’s a good idea. Maybe it’s time for a fresh logo… I’ll see what I can come up with and maybe put up some to vote on!
