Hey y’all!
I’m really excited to tell you all about health and beauty. Health is not only about how many cups of spinach you eat a day (spinach-haters, you can relax now) and beauty is not all about make-up and fashion (Yes, you heard right!). There’s more to them than just that. Health and Beauty are two subjects which are surprisingly extremely connected. But more on that later. Before I write anything, let me introduce myself.
I live in Montreal, Canada. I’m 14 (it feels weird saying that – my birthday’s today!) and in eighth grade. I go to Beth Rivkah Montreal. It’s a French school so we learn everything (Math, Science, etc.) in French besides for Hebrew subjects and English. So I speak the language. I was one of the editors of my class’s sixth grade yearbook (High School’s from 7th to 11th grade here.) I was a finalist in Yaldah’s fiction contest last year. I’m the second of 8 kids. I enjoy baking, cooking, drawing, acting and writing (obviously..). Health and beauty have always interested me and I look forward to having fun writing with you.
So now that you know all about me… Let’s blog!

I also live in Canada! Happy Birthday!
i was actually born in canada and i visit there almost every summer!
i also know french some what!
I could understand french but I can’t speak french. Tonni: Could you speak french?
Yeah, I could speak it. I’ve learnt all secular subjects in French since kindergarten so I don’t have much of a choice. I was once walking with my friends and there was a group of Quebecois making fun of us, so we switched to speaking French amongst ourselves. It was amusing to see them get all red and embarrassed. I kind of felt bad for them. How do you know French?
i know french because my father is from france, and my mother is from canada. so french is a common language in my house!i was also kinda forced into learning it cause thats the only way i communicate with my grandparents! one time i was montreal (actually in la ronde) and some quebecers also made fun of my friends
( who are americans) in french and i spoke back to them in french! it was pretty funny to see there reaction because they thought i was american, too! but isnt french a pretty language?!?
It’s probably a pretty language if you don’t learn all the ins and out , exceptions, verb conjugation etc. in school!
Everyone has their own opinion on what language is nice. all I know about french is that it is FULL of exceptions to every rule! (that’s why we say “Francais est un langue exceptionnel!” “french is an exceptional language”)
Tonni, are you talking about when we were walking to CSL, or a different time?
it’s funny to see the surprised faces of people when they see you speak a language that they thought you didn’t!
always be careful when talking to others in hebrew-you never know who will understand!
the best part about knowing french is that you can speak it at camp and no one understands you!
It happened quite a few times but I was referring to when we were walking to CSL:)
Thought so…
