The match strikes
Erupting in flames
Slipping towards the wick
Licking its threads
Casting forth a glow
Forever

She passes the shaded window
Her heart skips a beat
The faint spark
The small flame
Has tugged her heart
Forever

But as she observes it flicker
She awakens
The spark that
For so long was silent
Bursts into flames
Forever

One Shabbos candle
From a modest home
Was all it took
To rouse a simple soul
Forever

We as girls
Can light a little candle
In our own homes
And that is all it takes
To spread light
Forever
