If you have one to extreme it’s not always good. anonymous 04/26/2012 at 7:05 PM but peaple can never have 2 much good like theres no such thing as 2 much chessed girly girl 04/26/2012 at 8:15 PM Every single trait is important!!! Hannah 04/26/2012 at 8:41 PM Just remember that chessed stops being chessed if it becomes detrimental to yourself! We should not forget to make sure we are healthy and happy as well. Anonymous 04/27/2012 at 12:35 PM There actually is such a thing as having too much chessed- like you might be too nice to yourself, like if you’re on a diet you’ll be so nice that you’ll keep on allowing yourself to eat more cake. Or people might use you for everything. Shaina Altein 04/27/2012 at 5:16 PM There are many traits that are important, but Yehudah Hanasi (a great torah scholar) says “Choose the path that brings beauty to yourself and others” (Ethics of our fathers, 2:1) Meaning, choose the middle path bacause either extremes are going to harm you or others. so all traits our good to have, but not to much of it. if you are too generous, you may become a pauper, but don’t bacome stingy and not give charity. Shaina Altein 04/27/2012 at 5:36 PM To name a few good traits: honesty, compassion, kindness, decency, obedience, integrity, nobility, patience, humility, endurance, bonding. now it’s the time of sefiras haomer, and every day has a specific middah (qualities) assigned for that day. (for example: day 16 is discipline with harmony-make sure you discipline someone in a constructive and caring way) every day combines two middahs and you can lean a lot of good traits to have.
