Hey everyone! I am sooo excited to share this recipe with you! This is the easiest, yummiest, dessert ever! There is no butter or margarine which makes it much healthier! You don’t even need a mixer! How easy can things get?
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350. Mix brown sugar and oil. Add in eggs, vanilla, baking powder and salt. Slowly add in the flour. You can mix in the chocolate chips or you can just our a layer on top. Pour into a 9×13 pan and spread out well. Bake for 30 minutes. Do not over-bake, if over-baked they get hard and very difficult to cut.

Yum! I substitute oil for butter in a lot of recipes, and they still come out delicious. :)

oh, me too! Cooking for the Shabbat means I get to make something really yummy that we would find time to make during the week. I just made apple pie and mango ice cream… and I’m exhausted, but satisfied! :)
