Readers,

There has been a small new addition to our yard. Bird feeders!

You may not be able to see it (sorry about the balcony), but there is a little bird on this feeder! This is a secret plan to attract birds so that they will double as pest control over the summer. We actually have two types of feeders: one with suet (a bird feed made from animal fat which is probably not kosher, but I don’t think the birds care), and one with typical seed in it. The suet feeders, however, only attract birds which don’t live here over the summer. But this one, with normal seed, attracts black-capped chickadees, which do live here over the summer.

Hopefully, our feathered friends will help us out by eating the bugs out of our garden!

Make those bird feeders and I’ll post next week!
