Hi everyone! I’m so sorry I’ve been SO out of touch. You have no idea what crazy things are happening here in Alaska! Some people think Alaska is boring and nothin’ doin’. Well, they got it totally wrong!!

First, I didn’t post because we had our two week Camp Gan Israel, where we did some awesome trips. I hope to post some pictures soon. Right after camp I went to New York for the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s yarhtzeit and for my cousins wedding. While I was there, a lady in our community who has been ill for quite a few years unfortunately passed away. When I got back home, they told me my father had gone back to Israel. A few hours later, we found out that my grandfather had passed away. All 17 (yes, that’s 17 with no twins, adopted, half…:)) brothers and sisters are sitting Shiva now in Israel. Many websites came out with amazing stories of my grandfather. Here is one – http://www.chabad.org/news/article_cdo/aid/2254022/jewish/Rabbi-Moshe-Greenberg-Jewish-Educator-Survived-Gulag.htm – spot mine and Chaya’le Greenberg’s father, (my father is Yosef and hers is Sholom). Actually, before camp I was going to post an amazing story about him in his merit for a speedy recovery, but G-d willing I will post it next week in merit of his soul.

After all the sad news, here’s something joyful – my sister Mushky had a healthy baby boy this past Friday morning! He is WAY TOO CUTE and I can’t wait to send you a picture of my first nephew! So long as the baby isn’t yellow, the bris will be IY”H on Friday. Getting a mohel to fly in and miss 3 days of business is no easy feat I tell ya…

And of course, because the work never ends, in two weeks we have a big event with many people coming, and I hope I can keep to my word and post the story. Anyways, someone just came with all the baby stuff, so I have to go unpack, make lunch, and get ready ’cause their coming home soonnn!!

Talk to you later,

<3Rivky
