About Fortunee Cohen

Fortunee Cohen, age 16 from Miami, Florida, is a sophomore at Scheck Hillel Community School. Her favorite subjects in school are math and Hebrew. Fortu, like her family calls her, enjoys writing, playing tennis and basketball, and acting. In addition to working in Yaldah, Fortunee is the manager for her school’s varsity basketball team and she is also a leader for Aventura Chabad’s C-Teen club. Fortunee speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Hebrew, and a little bit of Yiddish. When Fortunee grows up, she hopes to become a journalist.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a global community of empowered Jewish girls and women, using innovative approaches in education and technology. Through creative Jewish education programs focusing on the arts and self-discovery, we inspire girls to”shine their inner light” and become leaders of the future. We encourage girls to nurture their unique talents and pursue their dreams to change the world.
