Fresh Apple Cake
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. each–baking soda, cinnamon & nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups finely chopped tart apples
1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar. Then beat the egg. In another bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, and spices. Stir into cream mixture, alternating with chopped apples. Bake in pan
(13 x 9 x 2) in a 350 degree oven for 30 min. I hope you enjoy this recipe it is my great-grandmother’s recipe.
