Hi all!
My name is Rivky, I’m 13, and as you can tell from my bio, I am on Shlichus in Alaska; on the other side of the world for most of you, but still in the USA – and the biggest state, too!
I LOVE Sippurei Tzaddikim (Stories of the Righteous). They are first of all waaay more interesting than a lesson, and you can sometimes learn so much more on a practical level, and I can’t wait to share some of my favorites!
For my first story, I will be taking you back to Europe after the World War II, to the Bobover Rebbe, who managed to find a way to bring his followers and other fellow Jewish immigrants out of Europe and into America – which was very difficult back then – in an unimaginable way.
As told over by my father, Shliach Rabbi Y. Greenberg, as he heard it from Rabbi Yossi Jacobson.I also hope to share with you a bit about Shlichus in Alaska, and for my first post I put a picture of our Front Lawn Neighbor – Mitzvah Moose!

Where I live, we get the occasional (B”H for that) coyote, and a whole family of turkeys.

shoshana – it was actually a little more down not by the car. i was freaked out though. the moose was sleeping but still. we have crazy stories of walking to shul and moose charging at us – get ready sara chana!!

Wow – that I’ve gotta hear! :D If only there was a moose prop on Bitstrips, otherwise I’d adapt all your Mitzvah Moose stories into comics!!

we used to call him the minyan moose since they come along to shul with us many times but at a certain point we realized that if they dont have antlers… theyre women! ;) and we usually dont have have moose w antlers so we decided mitzvah moose will have to do

Flora – I actually taught Dasi for a while in our Talmud Torah when I was younger. Now I teach an older class but even so I see her every day. :D
u have moose… where i used to live (sparta nj) on shlichus, there were bears and deer :)
