She stood there
Tall, proud and regal
With righteousness that befits
A queen

This had to be what it felt like
To stand in the presence of
A queen

She stood
Her eyes covered
Before the warm glow
Of the candles
Lit by
A queen

She whispered quietly
Asking
That they should be happy
Those children of
A queen

Then she lowered her hands and
Walked, tall and proud
To hold tight this child,
This loving daughter of
A queen
