This song/poem was made in honor of my eighth-grade graduation during the COVID-19 quarantine.

I look back at my school years,
At all the friends I’ve made,
Some of them I still speak to,
Others just seem to fade.

I look up at this building,
All the memories it contains,
All the smiles and the laughter,
All the tears and the pain.

I see this place,
It’s been fun coming here,
Every day, every week,
Every month, and every year.

I look at all the classrooms,
Every smile, every scream,
This was the only place,
I’ve ever dared to dream.

I see this place,
It’s been fun coming here,
Every day, every week,
Every month, and every year,

But now I’m graduating,
No party, no speech,
But I didn’t come here for nothing,
There’s one thing you did teach:

I see this world,
It’s amazing being here,
Every person, every friend,
And the One that’s always near.

And even though there is corona,
Everything is for the good,
Now everyone say Tehillim,
Just because we should.
