A freilechen (happy) Channukah to all our readers and staff!

Did you know that this is the first time in 20years (and therefore the first time in my life, as well as almost all our readers :) )that the first night of Channukah fell out on Motzai Shabbos?Isn’t that exciting?

Did you know that this year Yaldah has a super special Channukah Submissions Contest? I think that’s pretty amazing too! Every submission you send in during Channukah will get you one ticket to be entered into a raffle to be a part of an exclusive behind-the-scenes issue planning meeting with Yaldah staff members Leah Caras, Tali Gross, Rebecca Berlin, Tamar Lilienthal, and me. I’m looking forward to seeing all your submissions! For details about the contest and for submissions ideas, click here. As always, submissions can be sent to submit@yaldah.com or using the form here.

On Channukah, many people get together with family or friends. If you know someone who may be interested in applying to be on our editorial board 2013, please direct them to our website. I was a writer on the board for 2 years and I LOVED it. Now as a staff member, I enjoy getting to know the editorial board members and look forward to getting to know the new members as well.

Last, but definitely not least, look out for the Kislev Issue! Our editorial board, staff members and graphic design did a great job as always, and I look forward to seeing the issue in the mail!

Happy Channukah!

P.S. Hope to see you at Jewish Girls’ Winter Retreat. Visit jewishgirlsretreat.net to register! Get ready to have a blast!
