Tznius in English mean modesty. You should know though that Tznius is not just modestly in the way we dress…..
Tznius is what we, the Daughters of Hashem, do to make us different and special. Tznius does not only mean how we dress. Tznius refers to the way we look, act, walk, talk, dress, and carry our lives. We try to do this in the way that would make our parents and more importantly Hashem proud. One of the sources for how we know to be Tznius is how Hashem created Chava. Hashem made her by taking from Adam Harishon’s ribs and dust, then turned it into Chava. We learn that being Tzanua (modesty) is important because Hashem made her from a place that should always be covered, the rib.
Being a living, walking, talking, Tznius girl doesn’t mean that we should only wear black and tights. Being Tznius is not so difficult if you think about it. We can be a Tznius and FASHIONABLE girl! We just have to make sure that the fashionable outfit that we want to wear is tznius. We should make sure that our collarbone, knees, and elbows are covered.
HOW CAN WE BE TZNIUS IN THE WAY WE ACT, WALK, TALK, LOOK, AND CARRY OUR LIVES??
We should walk in a nice aidle way. We should not walk in the streets moving your hips a lot ect. We should not scream and shout loudly or even laugh loudly in any type of way that would make people want to stare at you. You want to be seen and you want people to see you and say “WOW! I want my daughter to be just like her.”

Please keep in mind that all families and communities have different standards with their Tznius. If you have a question about if something is Tznius, ask your mother or your families Rav.

More tips: Remember we are humans, though at this point the goyishe(non jewish) world dresses like animals (basically walking around in their undies) Hashem gave us something precious to gaurd, this is our body.
When making a choice between whether or not to get the tighter or shorter outfit, remember 5 things.
1) I am a human, not an animal
2) My body is a gift for me, not to show off
3) What matters is in the inside, zhowing off your body will NOT make you cool and give you self estteem.
4) Does Hashem want me to do this?
5) IS THIS HOW I WANT MY CHILDREN TO DRESS ONE DAY???? Or do I want them looking like animals? Should they be embarresed to come out in this? Would I go on a date with a bachur like this????
Love it!
