Shabbos candles are all about spreading the light.

They have the strength to light up the night.

They bring Shalom Bayis to the house,

They cause peace and harmony to arouse.

When Sara and Rivka, our Imahos, would light their candles, Friday night at dark,

They would cause a small, little flame to embark.

It would stay lit until the Shabbos next week,

Only then would the wax leak.

And then they would light the candles once again

And whisper their quiet tefilla to Hashem.

So let us each light our own candle Friday night,

And fill up the world with loads of light.
