Have you ever painted with anything that is not a paintbrush? Well I love painting with things that are not paintbrushes!
Here is a list of things besides for paintbrushes that you can use to paint with:
- Sponges
- Q-tips
- back of a paintbrush
- string
- your fingers
These are just a few things you can paint with. I like using other things as paintbrushes because it makes your paintings look more interesting. It’s fun to try to use different things to paint with!

You could use a potato for a stamp- using a kitchen knife or a parents help, cut a design out. Then, to avoid ba’al tachshis, you can plant the potato afterwords!
FLORA!!!! Miss you! I was actually going to say something similar to Miriam–I was once in an art class where we used vegetables dipped in paint as stamps. Each one had a different shape. Might be a ba’al tashchis (not wasting) issue though–i guess vegetables that are getting old and won’t be used…
