Some time before the evening sun begins to wane,

Hectic running makes it feel as though the minutes are passing

Quicker than any other time.

As soon as I cover my eyes to bentch my Shabbos candle,

Beautiful Shabbos light spreads its wings over our house.

By fulfilling the special mitzvah that Hashem gave to girls,

Our requests gain an extra power when we ask Hashem,

Show us the light of Paradise Now!
