A flick of a match
The glow of a flame
As the candles are lit, a memory pops into the brain.
Six million can no longer be heard
Six million can’t share this sacred light
But they are not forgotten
They are alive in every Shabbos flame.
In every mitzvah
In every prayer
Like an everlasting ray of sunshine
Their memory shall live on
In the glow of Shabbos candles.
