Snow
So pure white
Like a clean slate
A new chance

Now been trodden on
Footsteps all over
Each left their mark
Footprints of all sizes
All that has been done

White stuff keeps falling
Fresh layer covers over
Till prints are but
A sketch of the past

The matter lies in the moment
The step about to be taken
The deed that must be done
The action of now
That penetrates all others

Put the right foot forward
The small step of one
Can be the leap of all
