Shabbat Shalom!
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you read those two words? I always tend to think of the song “Shabbat Shalom” that I used to sing way back in preschool. But now, as a grown up child, I realize there’s a lot more to Shabbos than lighting candles and praying.
It’s the day G-d rested from creating the world, and by us keeping the Shabbat some 2,000 years later, it’s as if we keep the whole entire Torah! Pretty impressive, no?
I love Shabbos. For me, it’s a time to reflect on my week, set goals for the coming week, relax, take off from homework, and special family time. In the photos above, you can that even without words it’s clearly Shabbos. Although it isn’t respectful to capture photos on Shabbos, I still tried to instill the beauty of Shabbos into these small pictures :)
FOTW: You’re not allowed to untie something on Shabbat!
a week ago there was a major icestorm in toronto and i took some awesome pics of my front lawn and the trees near my house it was so beautiful because all the trees and branches and everything were coated with a layer of ice. even though it caused many ppl to lose power for a long time (some still don’t have it back) it helped everyone see the beauty of Hashem’s world
Omg! Wow-sounds like an experience! It’s awesome that you have that photographic talent in you and know that when it snows, its called picture time! :) I’d love to see them.
